GigBill — Support

GigBill keeps all data on your device, and your invoices are included in your iPhone's normal backup. If you back up to iCloud, your invoices are backed up too — so a new or restored device can recover them from your iCloud backup, under your own Apple ID. There is no account with us to recover; nothing is ever stored on our servers.

Setting up

Open Settings from the dashboard and set your profile — name, contact, and address — which appears as the sender on every invoice. Choose your industry to tailor the role picker, and your currency. Industries available: Backline, Broadcast, Corporate AV, Film & Television, Lighting, Live Events, Rigging, Theatre, Touring, and Trade Shows. If yours isn't listed, use Add Industry.

Building an invoice

Tap New Invoice. Set the Bill To company and contact — previously billed clients are saved and reappear for one-tap selection. Add a job, name it, set the site or venue, and choose a role. If your role isn't in the list, use Add Role; it is saved to the top of your picker.

Rates and hours

A job is billed at an hourly rate or a flat day rate — set by the Day Rate toggle on the job. A day rate bills flat, and overtime hours still bill on top of it. Add work days with start and end times; an overnight shift entered across midnight is calculated correctly. Two-tier overtime (OT1, OT2) applies at the thresholds you set, and meal breaks are deducted from total hours.

When a meal runs past the deadline, turn on Meal Penalty on the day it happened and enter the amount owed. Each half-hour increment is its own line — Meal Penalty 1, Meal Penalty 2, and so on, added with the + button — billed as a flat amount, separate from your hours, exactly as a payroll department expects to see it. This is independent of the meal-break deduction above; a day can have both.

Per diem and expenses

Per diem is set per job and applied to each work day, listed under expenses. Add expenses with a description and amount, and attach receipt images by Photo, Library, or Files. Whether receipts are attached to the sent invoice is controlled by Attach Receipts in Settings.

Review and send

Review Totals itemizes every job, day, overtime tier, per diem, and expense before anything is sent. Send Invoice opens your device's email with the PDF attached and the recipient, subject, and message pre-filled — the email goes through your own account, not through GigBill.

Subscription

GigBill is a paid subscription billed through the App Store, with current pricing and any free-trial terms shown on the App Store listing. Manage or cancel it any time in your Apple ID settings. See the Terms and Privacy Policy for details.
